Cliffhanger Indoor Climbing Gym in Altona will host Sport Climbing Victoria’s State Lead Titles for the second consecutive year on the weekend of Feb 29 – March 1.
Entries for States are open at Sport Climbing Victoria. There are youth and adult categories, with a range of sub-category options, so you can enter the category that best suits you. For the first time ever, the SCV Lead Titles also include a Non Binary/Gender Diverse category.
To enter go the Sport Climbing Victoria website and:
1) Join Sport Climbing Vic ($20). (alternatively use SCA membership).
2) Register for the state titles ($50).
There is $1000 up for grabs to the female comp winner, as well as $1000 to the male comp winner. Reigning comp champs are Oceana Mackenzie (Vic/Bayside) and Dan Fisher (ACT). The Victorian title went to Oceana, while Campbell Harrison (Vic/Bayside) took out the male. You can guarantee there will be an awesome atmosphere for this comp given it’s in the leadup to the Tokyo Olympics – climbing’s first official inclusion.
Sport Climbing Victoria is also looking for volunteers to assist in the running of this competition. Please contact SCV if you are interested in helping.
