Cape Woolamai Adventure Climbing

Cape Woolamai Phillip Island 16 Mar 2019

Is there a better crag for adventure climbing in Victoria, let alone so close to Melbourne?

Don’t you want to be looking out to the horizon, sitting proudly 100 metres above the crashing surf, belayed to a mutton bird, a clump of sea grass and a passing tourist (“ere ya go mate, just hang on to this for a few minutes will ya?”). An experience not to be missed!

This daytrip is for experienced climbers with the skills and aptitude to climb in all conditions. Everything is possible, even in early Autumn. Rain, more rain, wind, lots of wind and absolutely no shortage of exposure or dubious rock. A great day out and about.

The possibilities include multi-pitch climbing on the main cliff, with belay views to savour. Or you can choose to do the classic pinnacle traverse and stay closer to the ground/sea!

Intending participants need to contact the Trip Leader, Peter Upton, prior to trip. Be prepared to give Peter details of your experience and skills.

This trip is not suitable for Beginners. It is for experienced intermediate and advanced climbers only.
