The Facilitators:
Jo Lee (she/her) is the founder of Women Uprising and the Affinity Initiative. She’s a climbing guide, fluent in four languages, and an advocate for intersectional feminism in the climbing industry. She actively uses her platform to amplify and elevate the voices of First Nations people, and continues to work in solidarity alongside them in their fight for justice. On the sidelines, she’s a big (indoor) plant mumma and absolutely thrives being outdoors.
Lauren Marc (she/her) started climbing in 2017 and now works within the industry as a route setter in a bouldering gym. She believes that climbing is for everyone and is passionate about facilitating positive and empowering experiences for first-timers. She loves plants and animals, has a degree in conservation biology and is currently completing a Masters in Urban Horticulture.
