Eastern Walls in the Central Grampians provides some stellar climbing in great positions. Excellent trad climbing on good rock. This whole escarpment was closed from 2008 till 2015 due to the failed Brush-tailed rock wallaby re-establishment program. Combined with the COVID years, many climbers have not visited this area.

The plan is to climb at Eastern Walls on the Saturday and Bundaleer, or maybe up north in the Amphitheatre, on the Sunday. Note: We will be walking in from the closed gate at Bundaleer, so access is not as short as The Watchtower!

All intending participants must contact Peter Upton, the trip leader, prior to the trip. Please send through some details about your experience and climbing gear and hopefully we’ll see you there.

Car-pooling will be facilitated using a google spreadsheet for those who are interested. This is optional and each individual needs to make their own risk assessment regarding COVID and choosing to car-pool.
