Mt Arapiles provides magnificent climbing days in autumn. There are plenty of options when choosing cliffs in late autumn. Depending on the weather, a multipitch on the Watchtower faces or the sun of Central Gully Left might be best. Go for a walk and climb at some of the more distant sun soaked cliffs in the Northern Group for a bit more solitude.

We will be camping in The Pines, close to the action. There is no better rock to fondle than the hard quartzite of Arapiles, so contact your Trip Leader, Michael O’Reilly, to register your interest.

These EOM@Araps/Djurite trips are intended for all levels of climbers, however Beginner spaces may be limited by the number of experienced leaders who come along. It is recommended that Beginners contact the Trip Leader as soon as possible.

Due to the COVID restrictions, all intending participants must contact the trip leader prior to the trip. Please send through some details about your experience and climbing gear and hopefully we’ll see you there.

ALL participants on VCC club trips must show proof of double vaccination, or a valid medical vaccine exemption certificate, to attend. To sign in on the trip, all participants must complete and sign the VCC Trip and COVID Register.

During these COVID times, all VCC Events and trips may need to be cancelled at very short notice. If this trip goes ahead as planned, it is essential that all intending participants contact the leader prior to the trip, as well as read all of the documents referred to below. Members cannot just ‘turn up’ on the weekend.
