End of the Month @ Djurite/Araps – November

Mount Arapiles 30 Nov 2019 — 1 Dec 2019

Mt Arapiles at the end of spring? So much better for climbing at Arapiles than winter! The warmth in the sun and longer daylight hours make for a great weekend of climbing.

There will be a Cliffcare Working Bee on Saturday morning. We will help move some more rocks for Walter for the Upper Central Gully Track Project on Saturday morning. The benefits of participating in this type of Working Bee are obvious to any climber who has spent any time at Araps. See the separate post on the VCC Events Page on our website for more details.

Spring gives us a real mixture of weather and Arapiles provides us with a perfect range of cliffs to suit the conditions. You can get up earlier and enjoy the warming rays of the sun. Or you can climb late into the evening. You can also find plenty of shade in those cool gullies if needed.

We will be camping in The Pines, close to the action. There is no better rock to fondle than the hard quartzite of Arapiles, so contact your Trip Leader, Dave Scarlett, to register your interest.

These EOM@Djurite/Araps trips are intended for all levels of climbers, however Beginner spaces will be limited by the number of experienced leaders who come along. It is recommended that Beginners contact the Trip Leader as soon as possible.

All intending participants must contact the Trip Leader prior to the trip. Click on the link at the end of this post to email the Trip Leader.

Please send through some details about your experience and climbing gear and hopefully we’ll see you there.
