Prospective and current trip leaders are invited to come along to our first Trip Leaders Skill Share Night. At this night we will share and discuss how to be an effective VCC Trip Leader and share ideas around trip leading. We would like to encourage all past trip leaders to come along, as well as any members who are thinking about becoming a trip leader. Michael will also share the draft VCC Trip Leaders Handbook with attendees and is keen to receive feedback.

We will share and discuss ideas about trip organisation, how to manage groups, communication, safety issues, top-roping and even crags to visit. We’ll show you the new PLBs that we’ve purchased for Club trips – and explain how to use them. All new trip leaders are mentored by existing trip leaders on their first trip(s), so why not come along and find out more. Our experienced trip leaders have a wealth of knowledge and skills that they are keen to share.

We will be having a meal at 6:30pm and the formal part of the evening will start around 7:00pm.
