Twilight @ Camels Hump – Back Wall

Camels Hump, Mount Macedon 16 Jan 2020 4:00pm or 6:30pm

This trip is now FULL. But you can email Janet and be put on the Waiting List if you’d like.

Why not take advantage of the long summer days, daylight saving and climb in the evening and the coolness of Camels Hump at Mt Macedon? The plan is to start in the afternoon, or in the evening, and climb until dark at Melbourne’s premier summer crag.

Ever wanted to try Sports Climbing but the grades are a little out of your reach?

Then this is the trip for you.

On this twilight trip, we will be climbing on Back Wall, at Camels Hump. It is a very user friendly crag with sport climbs ranging from 9 to 22. The crag is 20 metres high with all climbs within close proximity. Leave your rack at home and make the most of these daylight saving hours.

We have two starting times for this twilight trip : 4:00pm  and 6:30pm for the later arrivals.

This trip is suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced climbers. This crag is ideal for those beginning to lead sports climbs. Beginner climbers, and those transitioning from gyms to outdoor climbing, are most welcome. Total numbers of participants will be limited due to the size of the cliff and the number of climbs available.

If you are interested in joining the VCC on this trip, please contact the Trip Leader, Janet Cunningham, to secure your place. All climbers intending to come along must contact Janet prior to the trip.
