Midweek@the You Yangs POSTPONED
You Yangs Regional Park • 7 Nov 2019
This trip has been postponed due to the wet weather forecast for Thursday.
These mid-week trips are for climbers who have the availability to get out for a day’s climbing mid-week, but usually can’t find a partner.
Climbing in the Youies is a great introduction to climbing granite. Depending on the particular crag visited, there are often a few easy cracks which provide a good taste of crack climbing and several sport slab routes in the intermediate grades.
These short slabs are a great introduction to the fine art of ‘slabbing’ and are a perfect way to improve your footwork. You will learn to ‘trust your feet’!
Beginner numbers may be limited.
The Trip Leaders, John Fells and Michael O’Reilly, will determine the crag to be visited close to the day. The choice of crag will depend on the skills and experience of the participants, the total number of participants and the weather forecast. Please contact the Trip Leader John Fells, prior to the trip, to indicate your interest. Then further information can be forwarded to you closer to the day.
Not sure if you’re novice, intermediate or advanced? Find your level or contact the trip leader.
